A cream cheese & powdered sugar mixture is spread over a baked crust, then topped with vanilla instant pudding mix and whipped topping.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together 1 C flour, 1 C chopped walnuts, and 1 stick of melted butter. Press the mixture over the bottom of an ungreased glass or metal pan to cover completely.
Place in the oven at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Cool completely.
In the meantime, mix together the confectioner's sugar, whipped cream cheese, and 1 Cup of the whipped cream until smooth and creamy. Spread over the cooled crust, using a cake frosting spatula for ease.
Make a pie filling using the instant pudding by following the box directions. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours or until the vanilla pie filling is set.
Once set, spread whipped cream over the top, sprinkle with remaining chopped walnuts and serve.
Notes:
If you really like walnuts, mix some chopped walnuts into the whipped cream as a topper. You may freeze the dessert, cut into squares and top with maraschino cherries.
