
A quick and easy fruit "pie" using pantry staples--canned fruit, a yellow cake mix, coconut and almonds.
Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Divide pie filling between two 9 inch pie plates.
Add half of pineapple with juice to each.
Sprinkle half of cake mix on each. Sprinkle each with 1 cup coconut and 1 cup almonds.
Drizzle each with 1/2 cup melted margarine.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until top is golden brown.
Makes two 9 inch pies.
Notes:
Use other flavors of pie filling and other types of nuts for delicious variations.
