This dessert has many different layers and is perfectly sweet.
Place sour cream in mixing bowl and chill with beaters at least 30 minutes. Beat until very bubbly, about 5 minutes, continue to beat while gradually adding 1/2 cup sugar. Wash and cut tops off of strawberries. Fold strawberries into sour cream mixture. Spread 3/4 cup crumbs over bottom of pan, cover with strawberry mixture and freeze until firm. In a bowl, cream butter gradually, add confectioners sugar and beat until light and bubbly. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Spread over strawberry layer. Sprinkle top with 2 tbsp vanilla wafer crumbs and freeze.
