Strawberry Spring Fling

This spring inspired dessert is bright and fresh. Vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries and filling, angel food cake and Cool Whip to finish it off.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 small box strawberry Jello
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 qt cleaned and sliced strawberries
  • 1 angel food cake, broken into bitesize pieces
  • 4 sliced bananas
  • 9 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 large box instant vanilla pudding made as directed on the box

Method

Strawberry Filling Disolve the Jello and sugar in the boiling water in a saucepan. Set aside. Mix the cornstarch and cold water together in a small bowl. Add the cold water mixture to the Jello mixture in the saucepan. Boil until thick and clear. Cool completely and add the strawberries. In a large clear trifle or salad bowl, layer in order given below until all is used up. End with a layer of Cool Whip, Angel food cake Bananas Vanilla pudding Strawberries and filling mixture Cool Whip

Number of Servings: 15 or more, depending on size
