Strawberry Cream Cheese Trifle

A cross bewteen strawberry shortcake and Boston cream pie--all layered in a beautiful trifle dish.

  • Servings: 8

Ingredients:

2 lb Ripe Strawberries, washed, hulled, sliced
1 lb Cream Cheese, softened
4 oz Instant Vanilla Pudding
4 cups Milk
2 Prepared Pound Cakes, cubed 1"
4 cups Whipped Topping or Prepared Whipping Cream

Directions:

With an electric mixer, beat pudding and milk together until well blended. Beat in cream cheese quickly so pudding doesn't get too thick. Layer 1/3 of cake cubes in a glass bowl or 4 quart casserole dish. Top with 1/3 of strawberries then spoon 1/3 of pudding mixture on top. Repeat 2 more times with cake, pudding and strawberries. Top last layer with whipped topping. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.

Helpful Tips:

The cream cheese, added to the pudding, adds an incredible layer of richness to the dessert.
