Strawberries and Fluff Pie

Strawberries and strawberry-flavored gelatin team with frozen whipped dessert topping to make this colorful, frozen no bake dessert in a crumb crust.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 oz.) strawberry Jell-o
  • 1 2/3 cups boiling water
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. carton non-dairy Cool Whip
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 9-inch crumb crust
  • 1 1/2 c. fresh strawberry halves

Method

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Remove 1/2 cup mixture and chill until slightly thickened. Fold the slightly thickened gelatin and sugar into the whipped topping. Add a few drops of food coloring. Chill again, if necessary, until mixture mounds. Line bottom and sides of crumb crust with the whipped topping mixture, mounding high around edge. Chill. Meanwhile, chill remaining gelatin until partially set. Stir in strawberries. Spoon the mixture into the center of the whipped topping-lined crust without covering the high rim around the edge. Chill several hours until firm.
