Ingredients:
| 1 | Pie Crust, either refrigerated or homemade |
| 3 | Large Eggs |
| ½ cup | Sugar |
| ½ tsp | Salt |
| 6 Tbsp | Melted Butter |
| 1 cup | Dark Corn Syrup |
| 2 tsp | Pure Vanilla Extract |
| 1 tsp | Kentucky Bourbon |
| 1¼ cup | Pecan Halves |
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place refrigerated pie crust or homemade crust in 9 inch pie pan and crimp edges with fingers or fork. Combine the eggs, sugar, salt, butter, dark corn syrup, vanilla and bourbon in medium bowl. Stir in pecans. Spoon the filling carefully into the crust. Bake pie on the lower oven shelf for 50 minutes. Cool before serving.
Helpful Tips:
In my southern pecan pie I use double the amount of vanilla than most traditional recipes call for and 1 teaspoon bourbon. I believe it makes all the difference!
