Sour Cream Velvet Frosting

This smooth and creamy frosting uses sour cream and powdered sugar for a velvety finish that goes well on a wide range of cookies and cakes.
 

Ingredients

  • one 6 oz pckg (1 cup) semi sweet morsels
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

Method

Melt chocolate over hot (not boiling) water. Remove from over water. Blend in sour cream, vanilla and salt. Gradually beat in powdered sugar.
