Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake

The batter for this cake contains butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream and cinnamon. There are tiny chocolate chips folded in, and the top is sprinkled with a little sugar before baking.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/3 cup unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup miniature chocolate chips

Method

Blend the 1 cup sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. In a separate bowl, stir flour, baking soda, baking powder, & cinnamon. Add flour mixture to butter mixture. Blend in sour cream and chips. Pour mixture into greased and floured 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle remaining 1 tbsp. sugar over all. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until brown.
