Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

The mixture of margarine and Crisco really adds to the softness of this classic cookie. Letting them finish baking on their pan is another key.Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Crisco
- 2/3 cup light margarine softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix crisco and margarine then add sugars, eggs, vanilla, baking soda and salt. Mix well then add in flour. Fold in the chocolate chips at the end with a rubber scrapper or spoon. Drop on greased cookie sheet with a cookie scoop and bake for 8:45 minutes at 350 degrees. When you take the cookies out of the oven you'll notice they are not quite done but leave them on the pan with a large hot pad under them and let them finish baking for another 2-3 minutes while cooling on the counter. This is the key to a good soft cookie!!!
