Sherbet Angel Food Cake

A colorful and easy to prepare frozen dessert cake with sherbets and whipped cream.
 

Ingredients

  • One prepared angel food cake
  • 1 pint each lime, orange and strawberry sherbet
  • 1 carton Cool Whip

Method

Slice angel food horizontally into 3 sections. Soften sherbet sufficiently to spread. Place bottom layer of angel food on serving platter. Spread soft layer of one color sherbet on cake. Top with second layer and spread with 2nd color sherbet. Top with third layer and spread 3rd color. Cover cake with Cool Whip. Place in freezer until 1/2 hour before serving. Store in refrigerator until ready to cut.

 

Notes: This is very decorative when sliced. I have topped it with fresh flowers for a birthday cake and it looked lovely
