Pie Crust


This recipe for pastry uses boiling water combined with shortening. Flour is added and kneaded to combine.



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Shortening  
  • 1/2 cup Boiling Water  
  • 3 cups Flour  
  • 1/2 tsp Salt  
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

Method

Mix shortening and boiling water; whisk till melted. Add dry ingredients and knead gently to combine. Makes enough for top and bottom crust.

Notes:

Number of servings: 2 pastry crusts
