This easy candy spreads melted white chocolate out, sprinkles it with crushed mint candies & pretzels, and drizzles it with melted chocolate pieces.
1. Unwrap the starlight mints and place them inside a zipper-lock plastic bag. Seal the bag, then using a hammer or mallet, gently pound the candies to break them into smaller chunks.
2. Put the small salted pretzel twists in another zipper-lock plastic bag, and use a hammer or mallet to break the pretzel twists into smaller chunks.
3. Over a double-boiler, melt the white chocolate chips. Once the chips are melted, spread the chocolate onto a large cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. The chocolate should be spread in free-form fashion.
4. Sprinkle the crushed starlight mints and pretzel chunks over the melted white chocolate on the cookie sheet.
5. In the same double boiler used to melt the white chocolate chips, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate over the white chocolate-mint-pretzel mixture.
6. Cool for 3 hrs. or overnight, then break into pieces and serve.
Notes:
For an interesting presentation, pour the white chocolate into the shape of a tree, then while the chocolate is still warm, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
