Patriotic Pleasure Truffle

Blueberry and strawberry pie filling layering angel food cake make this a very patriotic dessert. It is easy to make and a true crowd pleaser.
 

Ingredients

  • Whole angel food cake, cut into 3rds and cubed
  • 2 15 oz cans strawberry pie filling
  • 1 15 oz can blueberry pie filling
  • 10 oz whip cream topping
  • 2 tbsp berry blue jello
  • Small pkg fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 sugar

Method

First wash and slice fresh strawberries and place in a container and sprinkle with sugar. Place in fridge for later use. Layer angel food cake, strawberry pie filling, angel food cake, blueberry pie filling, and angel food cake strawberry pie filling. Whip enough topping to cover top of strawberry filling and sprinkle jello on top whipped topping. Cover dish and place in fridge for about 2 hours or until ready to serve. Before serving arrange fresh strawberries in a star on top. Keep refrigerated.

 

Notes: Cool summer dessert. Light and easy to make. Takes about 10 minutes to prepare and 2 hours to set.
