Orange Bavarian Cream

This creamy dessert is prepared with orange peel, orange juice, orange gelatin and whipping cream, perfect and light for summer.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 3-ounce package orange flavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2/3 cups water
  • 1 cup whipping cream
 
Method

In mixing bowl, stir sugar into orange flavored gelatin. In saucepan, combine orange peel, orange juice and water. Bring to boiling, add gelatin mixture, stirring until gelatin is dissolved. Chill mixture until partially set, consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Meanwhile, in a small mixer bowl, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form. In large mixer bowl, beat partially set gelatin until foamy and fold in whipped cream. Pour mixture into eight 1/2 cup molds or 4 1 cup mold. Chill til firm, about 4 hours. Unmold on serving plates.
