|1||Moist White Cake Mix, any kind is fine|
|1||(3.4oz) Pkg. Instant Banana Cream Pudding Mix|
|1-2 tsp||Banana Extract|
|½ cup||Butter, softened|
|½ cup||Vegetable Shortening|
|2 tsp||Banana Extract|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and line with parchment paper, 2 cookies sheets with inside measurement of approx. 11 x 16. I love the nice heavy ones from Sam's Club. Combine all cake ingredients and beat on low for 1 minute. Beat on high for 2 more minutes. Divide batter between the 2 cookie sheets and smooth with offset spatula. Bake for 15 min. and cool.
FILLING: Put sugar and milk in bowl of mixer and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining fillig ingred. and beat on high about 5 min. or until light and fluffy.
Turn one cake out onto parchment paper. Spread with all of the filling on the flat side. Top with flat side of the other cake layer. Cut into large squares and wrap individually with plastic wrap for selling at bake sales. These wrapped squares can be frozen. These taste just like the brand name ones we use to buy as kids.
