|6 cups||Peeled, cored, sliced apples|
|1 Tbsp||Lemon Juice|
|1 pkg||Powdered Pectin|
|½ cup||Thinly Sliced Lemon|
Combine apples, water and lemon juice in large pan. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Stir in pectin and bring to rolling boil, stirring often. Add lemon slices and sugar. Return to a rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring often. Remove from heat and add nutmeg. Pour hot into hot jars leaving 1/4 inch head space. Adjust caps. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
A bit of work, but well worth it.
