Nancy's Tunnel Cake

This cake, which creates a "surprise" filling is made with both granulated sugar and powdered sugar, in addition to butter, sugar, flour and cocoa powder. A cocoa powder and powdered sugar glaze is spooned atop.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 3/4 cups butter
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups chopped nuts
- GLAZE
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 5 teaspoons milk

Grease and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan. Combine sugar and butter. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Gradually add 2 cups powdered sugar, blending well. By hand, stir in flour, 3/4 cup cocoa powder and nuts, blending well. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350 degree oven, until cake is set and edges begin to pull away from pan. Cool upright in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes, remove and cool 1 1/2 hrs. GLAZE: Combine remaining powdered sugar, cocoa powder and the milk. Add more milk, if necessary, to make drizzling consistency. Spoon over top of cake, letting some run down sides.
Notes: This is a cake with a "surprise" filling.
