My Favorite Pecan Pie


This pecan pie has a sweet, caramel flavor and is loaded with cruncy pecans.



Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup light Karo syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecan halves
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 10-12 unchopped pecan halves

Method

Use a 9" pie pan with premade crust. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs, sugar, salt, butter, vanilla and syrup together. Mix in chopped pecans, pour mixture into pie pan and place the 10-12 pecan halves on top of mixture before baking. Bake 40-50 minutes and let cool. Mixture will solidify when cool.

Notes: Serve with or without whipped cream.
