Minnesota Apple Pudding


Apples top a buttery, cinnamon-spiced dough and then they are baked together in this warm pudding recipe.



Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled, chopped apples
  • Whipped dessert topping or ice cream
  • Caramel ice cream topping

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter in 2-quart casserole and set aside. Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add milk and stir until blended. Put in casserole with butter. Pile apples in center of dough. Bake 375 oven for 40 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped topping or ice cream on top. Drizzle caramel topping on each serving.
