Marbled Peanut Butter Torte

A cream cheese, Cool Whip, and egg mixture is spread over a brown sugar-peanut butter crust, drizzled with melted chocolate chips and marbled.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 c flour
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c peanut butter
  • 2 c Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c chocolate chips

Method

Beat brown sugar, peanut butter and butter until fluffy. Add flour and blend. Put some of the mixture aside to use as a topping. Pat the rest into a 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 F for 10 to 15 minutes. Topping: Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1/4 c peanut butter until smooth. Beat egg into mixture. Fold in Cool Whip. Melt chocolate chips. Pour first mixture on cooled crust. Drizzle melted chips over this; draw a knife through to marble mixtures. Top with reserved crumbs and refrigerate.

Notes: Because this contains uncooked egg, be sure to use proper food safety techniques.
