Iced Tea Sunrise

This summer drink is glitzed up with lemon gelatin infused whipped cream to make for light and refreshing dessert.
 

Ingredients

  • 2.75 oz pkg lemon gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 3 standard tea bags
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Maraschino cherries
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Method

Steep 3 tea bags for 5 minutes in water and combine with lemon gelatin. Pour 1/4 cup of mixture into 4 glasses and refrigerate. Drop in 1 or 2 maraschino cherries. Refrigerate remainder of gelatin mixture until thick, about 1 hour. When thickened, blend remaining gelatin with 1 cup whipped topping. Spoon equally into glasses. When set, spoon plain whipped topping onto glasses until full and top with a slice of lemon.
