Blend sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in 2 quart saucepan. Combine milk and egg yolks. Gradually whisk into sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and whisk 1 minute. Remove from heat
and stir in vanilla. Pour into dessert cups and top with whipped cream and semi-sweet chocolate chips or shavings.
