Creamy and loaded with chocolate--a heavenly dessert to serve here on earth.
In mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and cornstarch well.
Add cocoa and eggs to mixture, blend well.
Mix milk and water to make one cup and add to mixture along with vanilla.
Blend with mixer until smooth.
Stir in nuts if desired.
Pour mixture into a 8" unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 350 degrees until done but still soft in center of pie.
Notes:
This pie is so rich and creamy, you will enjoy its chocolately simplicity with or without the nuts added (I usually use walnuts in mine).
As a child, I preferred this pie for my birthday instead of cake.
