So I don't really only eat sweets (I can dream, right?), but I love dessert. I mean, I really love dessert. What better way to end a meal? Or perk up a rough afternoon? This group is for all of you who love sweets as much as I do. Post your recipes and share your thoughts!

  • Girl Scout Cookies

Oh, I LOVE those lemonade ones, Sherry!  I also love Samoas, but since I am the ONLY one in the family that eats them, I do not allow myself to buy them!

  • Do You Love Doughnuts?

Only YOU could go to Dunkin Donuts on a night when they have no doughnuts! LOL

Michael loves DD. There's none near his karate school and on the weekends he'll ask if we can stop. His favorite is double chocolate!

  • It's Jelly Bean Season!

I noticed Jelly Belly is making chocolate covered jelly beans now. I haven't tried them yet. Not sure if I'll like them but I'll definitely give them a try!

  • Last minute dessert?

Sometimes, we need a quick dessert or sweet treat.  One that is fast to prepare but still tastes great.

What is your best quick fix for a dessert?

  • Planning Desserts

When you are planning a meal for guests or a special meal for your family, how do you choose a dessert?

Do you plan the dessert first and then the meal, or plan the meal and then decide on a dessert that seems to go well with it?

Are there desserts that just don't fit with certain meals?

  • Dessert Cafe?

    I absolutely would!!

I love going out in the early morning to an 'intimate' (small to some) Cafe' for flavorful coffee and a tasty pastry treat.

Where I live there's a town that brings in Chartered Bus loads of tourists on a regular basis. They come to Cedarburg, Wisconsin because of it's Arts, uniqueness and Cafe's. In Cedarburg there are several (at least 5 if not more) cafes' spread out throughout the town. Cedarburg is known for it's craftsmen and artists, but it's 'Coffee Houses' can't be beat. Each cafe' is unique and some may offer something else, but this is not the norm at all. Each has it's own specially baked treats, which are made fresh each morning. I absolutely love it there, as do the tourists who come from all over the world to enjoy it, this includes places as far away as Japan.

I have another favorite place that I usually go to weekly. The name of this Cafe' is 'Panera Bread'. 'Panera' is known for it's always fresh baked goods.. and they are good! They do however offer a scaled down healthy version of food, like sandwiches, soups and salads.

For me this isn't what Panera really is about. When I go to Panera it's ALWAYS for the pastries and the coffee! They have the absolute best Hazelnut coffee anywhere! Just ask anyone who's had it and likes flavored coffee. I don't know why theirs is different from the rest.. but it is.

So now you have it.. my answer is a HUGE YES!! heart
