Ingredients:
| 2 lbs | Fresh Green Figs |
| 2 cups | Sugar |
| 3 cups | Water |
| 6-8 | Whole Cloves |
| Whipped Cream or Farmer's Cheese, optional |
Directions:
Wash figs in warm water, lightly rub each one with a cloth. Cut into 4 wedges and leave the edges attached. Boil in hot water for 1 minute. Over medium heat, cook sugar and water with cloves until it becomes a thick syrup. Add figs and cook until they are softened. Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream or farmer's cheese, or plain.
