- Servings: 20 servings
|2 cups||Packed Brown Sugar|
|1 cup||Real Butter|
|½ cup||Dark-colored Corn Syrup|
|½ tsp||Baking Soda|
|20 cups||Popped Popcorn|
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
On stove top, in a heavy duty saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring to melt butter. Boil gently, uncovered, for exactly 5 minutes, then remove from heat and add soda. Stir well.
Pour mixture over popped corn in a large roasting pan (add nuts at this point if you want to); bake for 1 hour. Gently stir popcorn every 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Freezes well, makes a great gift!
