Fruit Cocktail Cake

A colorful fruit cake with cherries, pineapple, and oranges to serve for dessert.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups fruit cocktail (w/ juice)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Method

Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in fruit cocktail. Add slightly beaten egg. Pour into greased 8" round baking dish. Mix brown sugar and nuts; sprinkle over batter. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream.
