Doug's Buttermilk and Fruit Cocktail Ice Cream


Only four ingredients are required to make this creamy, fruity frozen dessert.



Ingredients:

  • 8 cups whole milk buttermilk
  • 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 2 15 oz cans fruit cocktail, drained reserving 1/2 cup syrup
  • 1 5.1 oz box instant vanilla pudding

Method

In a large mixing bowl combine buttermilk and whipping cream. Add fruit cocktail and syrup to mixture. Mix well to combine. Finally whisk in pudding and pour into ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. After process is completed, transfer semi-soft mixture to an appropriate sized plastic storage container and place in freezer. Freeze for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight.
