Double-Stuff Oreo Ice Cream


Double stuff Oreo cookies are spread throughout this frozen treat. It also contains uncooked eggs, so be sure to follow food safety guidelines.



Ingredients:

  • 12 Double-Stuff Oreo Cookies
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

Method

Place 4 of the cookies in a food processor and grind until fine crumbs. Coarsely break the 8 remaining cookies and add to the crumbs. Place in freezer. Whisk the eggs in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add in sugar gradually, whisking until well blended. Pour in milk and whipping cream and whisk until blended; add vanilla extract and blend again. Transfer the mixture to a one-quart ice cream maker and process for 18 minutes or until frozen. Add the cookies and process 2 minutes more. Place in container and freeze.
