Double Chocolate Chippers

Traditional chocolate chip cookies given an interesting twist by adding both white and semisweet chips and also by adding coconut.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 12 ox pkg semisweet morsels
  • 1 12 oz pkg white chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, extract and eggs. Gradually blend in flour, one cup at time. Add both packages morsels and walnuts. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto large greased cookie sheets, three inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes, but do not over bake.

 

Notes: I HAVE HAD SOME OF THESE IN MY FREEZER SEALED IN FREEZER BAGS FOR A YEAR. WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OUT AND THAW, YOU CANNOT TELL THAT THEY WERE NOT BAKED THE SAME DAY!
