These ball candies are flavored with nuts and vanilla. Stash them in the freezer if you have extras and they'll keep for up to two months.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 Tbs granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup presifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, pecans or hazelnuts

Method

Thoroughly mix butter, sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts gradually. Chill 30 minutes. Shape into marble-sized balls. Bake on an un-greased cook sheet at 350-degrees for 15-17 minutes until firm but not brown. Roll gently in confectioner's powdered sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again.

 

Notes: Can be stored up to 2 months if you can keep them around that long.
