Here's a custard pie filling that will become a favorite. Sprinkle with nutmeg for extra flavor.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ground nutmeg

Method

Beat eggs; add salt, sugar, milk and vanilla. Strain into unbaked 9-inch pie crust. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake 450 F for 30 minutes
