A graham cracker crust is the base for this cheesecake dessert recipe. The filling has cream cheese, eggs, and sugar, while the topper has sour cream. After baking, it's cooled and chilled before being cut into squares to serve.
 

Ingredients

  • Graham Crackers Crust:
  • 24 whole graham crackers
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Filling:
  • 3 8-oz. pkgs. Cream Cheese, softened
  • 4 large whole eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Topper:
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Mix graham crackers, butter, and 1/4 cup sugar together; remove 3 tablespoons for later use. Press remainder in the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan. Beat all the filling ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Pour over graham cracker crust; bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or till set. Cool 5 minutes. While cooling, prepare Topper: stir together sour cream, 1/4 cup sugar, and vanilla. Spoon over the warm cheesecake; sprinkle top with reserved graham crust mixture. Put back in oven for 5 minutes. Cool, then refrigerate.
