Caramel Pecans

Use this recipe for your favorite sticky buns, or just make this as a snack for yourself.
 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp corn syrup

Method

Preheat oven to 250. Place pecan halves in 9x13 pan and bake for 4-5 minutes. While pecans are in oven, melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove pecans from oven, pour into saucepan and caramel mixture. Stir to coat. Pour back into 9x13 pan and bake for 45-60 minutes stirring every 15 minutes or so. Remove from oven and pour onto parchment paper or silpat separating pecans as they start to cool.
