Caramel Apple Snow

A meringue crust lines the pan and is topped with a fluffy mixture of whipped topping, caramel topping, apples, and toffee bits.
Ingredients
- 4 Egg Whites
- 1/2 tsp. Cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- dash of salt
- 3 large, tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced into bite size pieces.
- 16 oz.extra creamy
- frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed
- 1 cup caramel sauce/topping
- 1/2 cup toffee bits

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Butter bottom of spring form baking pan. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Continue beating while gradually adding the sugar and salt until stiff peaks form. Pile into spring form baking pan and bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven. TURN OVEN OFF WITHOUT PEEKING INSIDE. LET OVEN COOL DOWN AND WHEN COMPLETELY COLD, REMOVE MERINGUE CRUST. Put 1/2 of the whipped topping and caramel topping in bowl and blend. Add apples and most of the toffee bits. Stir to coat and put into meringue crust and level it off. Frost with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle remainder of toffee bits over top for garnish. Refrigerate until serving time.
