Campfire Marshmallows

Marshmallows are dipped in melted butter before toasting, to add flavor and help prevent burning.

Ingredients:

  • ? pound (1/2 cup) butter
  • one 10-oz. package regular-size marshmallows

Method

Melt butter over hot coals in a small metal pan or cup. Remove from fire, but keep warm. Place 1 marshmallow on end of campfire fork. Dip marshmallow into melted butter. Toast marshmallows approximately 3-5 inches above coals, depending on temperature of coals. Rotate constantly, until golden brown. Let cool at least 15 seconds before eating.

Notes: Can be made on a gas grill on medium-low setting.

Number of servings: 8-10
