Butter Pecan Crust

This pastry for a one-crust pie is made with flour and butter, sweetened with sugar and has the flavor and crunch of pecans. It is pressed into the pie crust, rather than being rolled out.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Method

Blend together flour, butter, and sugar until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in pecans. Press into a 9-inch pie plate and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
