Black Forest Pie

Creamy chocolate pie in a cookie crumb crust, topped with cherries and whipped cream-elegant but so easy.

Ingredients:

• One 6 oz ready-made chocolate cookie crumb pie crust
• 1 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
• 3/4 cup heavy cream
• 1/4 cup strong coffee
• 3 Tbsp butter
• 1 can cherry pie filling

Method

Combine chips, cream, coffee, and butter in a bowl and melt using low heat over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring regularly. Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate for about 2 hours. Pour cherry pie filling over the chocolate layer and refrigerate for an additional 2 hours. May garnish with whipped cream before serving.
