
Fresh strawberries and bananas baked with sweetened condensed milk in a ready made pie crust.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Unroll one pie crust onto a flat surface. Cut shapes out using a moon shaped cookie cutter and a spade shaped cookie cutter. Pinch the top of spade together with fingers to form strawberry stem. Roll three small logs and flatten and place below stem to form leaves. Press gently to adhere. Paint with food coloring, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes. Allow to cool. Place one crust on the bottom of pie plate and flute edges. In a blender or food processor puree strawberries and bananas. Pour mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add sweetened condensed milk, eggs and cornstarch and beat on medium speed until smooth.
Pour into pie shell. Put pie on a cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake an additional 30-35 minutes or until center is set. Remove from oven and cool. Place strawberry shape on top of pie. Refrigerate loosely covered.
Notes:
NOTE: If you do not have these types of cookie cutters, any cookie cutter can be used or a design can be cut with a knife by hand.
