
The flavors of almonds and peanut butter combine in this pie. A corn syrup and egg mixture with chopped almonds is poured into the pie shell and topped with a peanut butter mixture, then baked.
Preheat oven to 350. Beat eggs slightly, then add corn syrup, sugar, margarine, and salt; mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup mixture; set aside. Stir in almonds to remaining mixture; pour into pie crust. Combine reserved mixture and peanut butter; carefully pour over almond filling. Place pie on cookie sheet. Bake 50 to 55 minutes, or until filling is set about 3 inches from the edge. Cool on wire rack.
